A little bit about us

Our daughter Imogen is 17 months months old. We are new to the area having moved here from DC in January 2022. Imogen is a walker, she's teething but still happy, starting to talk a little bit, and she has a great sense of humor. She's brave and she loves the playground. We are looking for someone to watch Imogen 1 - 3 days a week between 8 AM - 12 PM. As a pandemic baby, we really want her to socialize with other kids, which is the primary goal of joining a nanny share. We have a mini Montessori wooden gym and a medium-sized backyard with a swing and a slide. My husband and I both work from home, but can accommodate play and will be around in case of an emergency. We have a friendly dog who can stay in a separate room if there are children in the house. We can handle drop-off and pick-up, and there are no expectations regarding pet care. Please let me know if there is anything else you would like to know about me! Thanks, Jenny

A little bit about us

We are seeking a caring and reliable nanny for our two boys, ages 1.5 and 4, who are full of energy, curiosity, and a love for the outdoors. We're hoping for someone who is versed in child development and comfortable spending time in all seasons outside with the kiddos.

What We're Looking For:
- Someone who is flexible and can work with our unique family dynamics. Both parents work partially from home, and we value a nanny who can adapt to changing schedules.
- Ideally, you would be available in the afternoons and into the evenings. A typical schedule could be Monday-Thursday from 1-6 PM, but we would love someone who can also work some later evenings, such as 3-8 PM.
- We guarantee at least 20 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours on weekends for park time or date nights.
- You must be dog-friendly as we have two lovable rescue pups.
- Our boys enjoy books, crafts, cooking/baking (especially the older one!), and being active outside.
- We'd love someone open to light house work when not with the children, but typically the children will be up and active during this time :)

About Us:
We are a family that values sustainability, community, and justice. Both parents are current/former educators, and we aim to create a nurturing and enriching environment for our children.

If you're interested in joining our family and believe this role could be a good fit for you, we'd love to meet you!

Thank you for considering our family and the unique needs we're looking for.

How can I find a nanny job in Denver, CO?

Finding a nanny job in Denver involves a combination of networking, applying to jobs posted online, and potentially working with a nanny placement agency. A platform like Nanny Lane can simplify this process, as it connects families looking for nannies with individuals seeking nanny jobs. What should I expect in a nanny job interview?

A typical nanny interview process begins with a phone or video call, followed by an in-person interview if the family believes you could be a good fit. During the interview, you can expect questions about your experience, skills, nanny duties you've performed in the past, and how you handle various situations related to child care. Families in Denver may also ask about your willingness to participate in local activities. If you progress past this stage, the family will likely request background checks before offering you the position.

What is included in a nanny contract?

A nanny contract is an agreement between the nanny and the hiring family that outlines the terms of employment. This contract typically includes details like the nanny's duties, work schedule, compensation, and terms for termination. It might also specify arrangements for overtime pay, vacation time, sick leave, and confidentiality. In Denver, it could also include unique aspects like arrangements for ski trips or other common Colorado activities.

What should I know about nanny payroll and salary in Denver, CO?

The nanny salary can vary depending on factors like the number of children, their ages, the nanny's experience level, and the specific duties required. For example, a nanny job in Denver might pay differently than a similar job in another part of Colorado. To get an idea of what you could earn, check out our nanny salary guide specific to Denver.

When it comes to handling payroll, nannies are considered household employees, not independent contractors. Therefore, the family hiring you is responsible for withholding Social Security and Medicare taxes from your wages, and potentially state taxes. Our nanny payroll service can help families navigate these requirements.
