A little bit about me

I come from a large family and have been around children my whole life. I am the oldest of 5 and was brought up to help my mother and care for my siblings. I also have 4 children of my own. I love kids, their active imaginations, learning from them and teaching them. I take pride in saying that I am well experienced in caring for children. Most recently, I worked as a full-time nanny working for average 10- 10.5 hours daily for families ( old and present)I was the primary care giver for an infant starting from 4 weeks of age onwards, and often helped with the care of the older child(ren)too who attended daycare. The parents works full time , because I developed a trusting and loving relationship with the family, I was able to provide overnight care in my own home while the parents were away. I enjoyed being part of the familys life and providing help to hard working parents who needed extra set of loving hands to help with the daily grind of life.

Hello my name is Paris, I am 19 years old and I absolutely love working with children. I worked at the Kiddie Academy teaching and caring for children as old as 12 and as young as 7 months. I have my CPR Certification. I’ve worked with kids with disabilities and on the spectrum. I am a very patient person and I’ve never had a problem with a parent nor student. My whole life I’ve wanted to care for kids and I one day want to become a labor and delivery nurse. I hope I get the opportunity to work with your family and get to know you amazing children, thank you so much.

Hi my name is Angel! I'm from Atlanta I've lived in Texas 4 years and looking for opportunities to earn income doing what I love—working with children. I'm currently a student at Lone star and have a deep passion for being a positive influence in kids’ lives.Every child in my care is treated with love, respect, and have my undivided attention. I strive to create a safe and fun, environment where children can learn, grow and enjoy themselves. Whether it's helping with homework, or planning activities, I take pride in making a meaningful impact.I have several years of experience caring for children of various ages, from infants to pre-teens. I've babysat for families regularly, and worked during summer break. I’m also comfortable with light housekeeping and pet care if needed. My 18-year-old sister Danni will also accompany me to babysit for families with multiple children. With permission, she can lend an extra set of hands during outings or assist with our more energetic little ones!

A little bit about me

Hello my name is Amy. I am looking forward to working with families that are near me I live in Cypress, TX. I have over 28 years of experience working with children. I have to renew some of the credentials that I have, CPR, first aid, and CDA. I have done all ages and as well as settlings. Most of my experiences is infants and school aged children. I will be blunt I do really have the patience to work with children that are 2 to 4 years old unless I really know the child and it is very few at a time. I am also a very proud mother of two and one day add one more to my family (don’t worry I only live with one of the 3). I do enjoy spending time with my family and my soon to be in my off. I love to draw in my off time make crafts use my creative side. I also love to go shopping and window shop at antique places. Mostly just draw and hang out with family. I like to watch my son play football and watch basketball (Rockets) games, and love movies and trivia. Hoping to meeting you and yours.

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Cypress, TX

Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.

Cypress Nanny Interviews

Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:

  • Do you have experience being a nanny?
  • How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
  • What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
  • Are you open to a live in arrangement in Cypress? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
  • Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
  • Do you have any references?
  • Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Cypress?
  • Do you have a driver’s license in TX? Do you own a car?
  • What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
  • What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?

During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.

Daycare vs. Hiring a Nanny

Choosing between putting your child in daycare and hiring a nanny can be a tough decision. While nannies are often more expensive, they provide individualized attention and flexibility. Daycares, on the other hand, prioritize socialization. Our Nanny vs Daycare guide can help you determine what's best for your family.
