I have been babysitting for 24 years since I was 12 years old. I have a degree in Education (Early childhood through sixth grade). I have worked in an elementary school as well as in a preschool. I have nannied for children ages 2 months and up. I have watched as many as six children at a time. Because I have a degree in Education, I enjoy doing lessons and crafts with the children I watch. I also love reading, and doing Science experiments. I have been told that I am reliable, loving, enthusiastic, organized and responsible. If you need a reference, I can have one of my previous families. I have previous experience with multiples. I will do a background check if you need me to. I am not currently CPR/first aid certified but I can be. I have been certified in the past, so I know the procedures.

Hi! I’m Robyn and I’ve been in the medical field for 3 years now, but I am looking to get back to doing what I love. I’ve worked with numerous families out of high school and also worked in a private school taking care of 3 month olds to 10 year olds for several years. My CPR and First Aid certs will be updated before start date. I have my own reliable transportation (2017 Jeep) and no traffic violations or accidents to date.

Hello :) I'm Tayler, I'm 24 years old and I currently work at Texas Roadhouse but I'm looking for something more consistent so I can spend more time at home with my family! While I have no professional nannying experience, my sister, Nicole has been a nanny for the CEO of Yahoo! for the past 3 years and she loves it! I've always gotten along with kids and I have a large family! I am a high school graduate, pursuing my career in real estate, going to school online! My availability is open but I prefer not to work late nights!
Take a chance on someone who's new to the industry but will NOT let you down :)

I've worked with children of all ages and walks of life for most of my life, and sat for children from newborn up to pre-teen, and enjoy all ages. Ive been a Nanny for a family of 5- including twin newborns. I've had responsiblities such as running errands, doing housework, cooking, cleaning, and organizing and maintaining the families' schedule. I was a Nanny for 7 children at once for 3 years straight and loved every minute of it! I have sat and been a Nanny for children with ADD/ADHD, autism, and other special needs. I have also had training to be able to work with children wo have been involved in tragic events suchas loss of mother/father, personal accidents, and larning how to do with developemental disorders. I had temporary custody of a toddler, who lost his parents in a tragic accident while I was watching him for them, until he was placed with distant relatives. I have also volunteered at numorous shelters where most of the children were abused and neglected; and therefore needed extra love and attention -their courage is what makes me the person I am today. I have had lots of experience and training as a Nanny and look forward to becoming a full time Nanny again soon!

I spent a summer caring for three children ranging from 5 months to 6 years old, as well as occasionally watching 6 children at a time. Some of the duties I performed while watching the children were to keep the house cleaned up, provide meals and snacks, wash dishes, and occasionally do laundry. Play time with the children involved movie time, story time, arts and crafts, baking, and learning games such as matching for the older child and colors and numbers for the younger child. We even went on trips to the park and the downtown zoo. I have spent the last 5 months helping my sister-in-law take care of her baby girl, my god daughter, since the day she was born. On numerous occasions I have taken care of my god daughter by myself while her mother needed a break or to run errands or to run 2 four year olds that she nannies for to their activities. I have assisted her on and off for the past 2 years in caring for the four year old twins as well - running them to activites, feeding them, reading books, etc. I also have spent the last year working as a substitute teacher where I have done all kinds of activities with 20 to 30 children at a time ranging from 1st graders to high schoolers. I also was a babysitter when I was a teenager, and looked after 4 children ranging from 2 to 10 years old.

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in League City, TX

Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.

League City Nanny Interviews

Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:

  • Do you have experience being a nanny?
  • How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
  • What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
  • Are you open to a live in arrangement in League City? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
  • Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
  • Do you have any references?
  • Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in League City?
  • Do you have a driver’s license in TX? Do you own a car?
  • What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
  • What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?

During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around nanny responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming! And of course, as you learn how to hire a nanny, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
