A little bit about me
I worked for the Lake Worth ISD daycare, the Tadpole Learning Center, for the 2 1/2 years as one of two teacher in the twos room. Unfortunately my lead teacher had to take a personal LOA, leaving me to lead the class until her return. This age group is where I have the most experience & feel most confident & competent. I enjoy watching them learn and grow from babbling toddler to outspoken young children who know their alphabet, colors and number & most definitely what they like and do not. Then I spent 3 months working for Lake Dallas ISD.
Personal background:
I was born and raised is Germany, but lived in the States from 6 months old until I turned 4, when my dad left the Army we moved back to Germany.. In Oct 2012 I moved to Texas to experience how life was different here and haven't left yet.
In Oct 2021 I met my husband and my then 7 year old bonus son & Oct 2022 we were blessed with our daughter adding infant experience to my skills

Understand Nanny Responsibilities in Millsap, TX
Before beginning the search for a nanny, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a nanny is the right choice for your child care needs. In hiring a nanny, first, you should think through what responsibilities you expect your nanny to handle. With that information, you can create a profile so that nannies can reach out to you. The boundaries for nannies duties vary from family to family. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example, housekeeping or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your nanny before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location can impact how much you should pay your nanny.
Millsap Nanny Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective nannies, the next step is a nanny interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some nanny interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a nanny?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
- What sort of household tasks are you open to doing?
- Are you open to a live in arrangement in Millsap? Do you have experience being a live in nanny?
- Are you open to being a nanny in a nanny share?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Millsap?
- Do you have a driver’s license in TX? Do you own a car?
- What salary are you seeking? Are you open to being paid through direct-deposit, pay stubs?
- What are your expectations around over-time pay and vacation time?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references, and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a prospective nanny, it’s essential to make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your nanny.
