I’ve been a stay at home mom to both of my children, but now I am returning to work, starting a role in Manhattan mid-March.
We are looking for a reliable and experienced nanny to care for our children Monday to Friday, with a split shift schedule (negotiating a full time shift can be considered).
Morning: 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM
Afternoon: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
The split will allow for you to have a daytime break to work another job or rest, and allow time for our youngest to attend daycare between 9am-3pm.
Then it will be picking her up from daycare and coming home to meet the six year old for the bus and helping with snack and homework + supervised play until 6pm.
Responsibilities include getting the children ready in the morning, dropping and picking youngest up from daycare.
Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., reading, spelling, numbers, arts and crafts, enrichment, etc.) Facilitate physical development (e.g., running, climbing, stacking, using utensils, etc.) in a high-energy, creative, and playful way
Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates. Organize calendar, arrange outings, etc. Also providing a wholesome and safe and nurturing environment, preparing light meals/snacks, and assisting with afternoon routines after school. Ideal candidates will be punctual, very great communicators, reliable, wise, fun, patient, and have experience with young children.
