A little bit about me

Hello!
My name is Avery & I have been in the education field for eleven years.
I am a long time resident of Danville & I graduated from DCHS in 2018 & went on to study education at Franklin College.
After returning home in 2019 to assist on the family farm, I began my career in childcare, working as a lead teacher in a daycare facility & fulfilling the role of a private nanny.
My experience has led me to work with ages infant to high school (including seniors!) All ages are a wonder to work with, and getting to know each individual students personalities is one of the best parts!
My number priority when it comes to my job as an educator is to provide 100% a complete safe space for my students. For both outside safety, and for my students to feel comfortable with confiding with me their emotions and whatever they may need.
I am available to the Hendricks/Putnam/Marion area & I am available for all needs & schedules!
Talk to you soon!

A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Liz and I am an 18 year old highschool graduate! I love music, animals, fashion, arts, and of course KIDS! I did student teaching throughout all 4 years of my highschool career, so I have lots of experience with children of various ages not only in a babysitting setting but in a classroom as well. I also worked as a kennel technician for a veterinary clinic so I have experience caring for your furry children as well! I look forward to hearing from you and your family ❤️

A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Makayla, and I would love to start nannying to save up for a car! I do have a job at the moment, but I am looking to replace my 9-5 to help out families in need. I would love to be a good nanny and help the children learn and grow as I learn and grow. I think this will help me become a better person, and it would benefit me as much as it would benefit you! I hope to become your new nanny soon!

A little bit about me

Hello everyone! My name is Katelyn and I’m a sucker for little kids. I personally have 5 younger siblings and being the oldest, I’ve grown up learning how to babysit and care for all of them! Since I’m not ready to have kids but still want to work with them, I’ve decided to become a nanny while working towards my English education degree. I live in Danville, Indiana and complete college from my home, so my hours are very flexible. Feel free to message me if you have any questions!

How to Hire a Weekend Nanny in Danville, IN

Nanny Lane helps you find a weekend nanny in Danville, IN who fits your family's schedule. Browse profiles of nannies who are available on Saturdays or Sundays, then message the ones you like.

What Is a Weekend Nanny?

A weekend nanny cares for your children on Saturdays, Sundays, or both. Some weekend nannies work every weekend, and others are available for the occasional weekend when you have an event, a trip, or a work commitment. Many have another job during the week, so they are often flexible about shorter shifts and one-off dates.

Common Responsibilities of Weekend Nannies in Danville, IN

Weekend care looks a lot like any other nanny job: supervising play, preparing meals and snacks, getting children to activities, and keeping to nap and bedtime routines. Because weekends are often busier and more active, you may also ask for help with outings, birthday parties, sports games, or family errands.

What to Consider Before You Hire

Be clear about the days and hours you need, whether the schedule is regular or occasional, and how much notice you can give. Rates and pay rules, including how weekend hours are paid, vary by state or province, so agree the details in writing and consider using nanny payroll to keep it simple. If you only need a few weekends a year, say so up front so nannies can plan around it.

Weekend Nanny Interview Questions

Once you find a promising candidate, invite them for an interview to see if they would be a great fit for your family. Here are some questions you can ask:

  • Which weekends are you available, and how much notice do you need?
  • Do you work every weekend or only occasionally?
  • Are you comfortable with outings and activities, and with driving the children if needed?
  • Are you trained in First Aid or CPR?
  • What rate do you charge for weekend shifts?

At this stage, request their references and ask their references some questions. After preparing the job offer or contract, we recommend that you run a background check before the start date.
