Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have nannied babysat for over 20plus years as well as raising my 3 little sisters and little brother! Children gravitate towards me I’m the mom who is the neighborhood “mom” everyday kids are here with my kids they feel “safe” here n that warms my heart! I have pet experience as well cleaning and cooking if u wanted laundry done certain rooms cleaned thoroughly that would make the rate go up $4-$5 more I hope to hear from you soon!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Indoor Activities: Arts and Crafts of course! Depending on ages we do light pre school work ABCs stuff like that ! I love to COOK! so I love letting the kids help me and it helps their self esteem knowing they cooked those muffins or cookies! We do park trips with a picnic for outdoor activities, if it’s ok with the family I love buying slip n slides or blow up water activity stuff !
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part to me is teaching my kids that they can do anything! We work on multiple different things throughout the day and we absolutely also have fun of course but I like my kids to be confident in knowing they can do it!
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for a few special needs children I’ve cared for Down syndrome Angels , I cared for kids who have ODD which is a challenge but we get through it as a mom I treat my nanny/babysitting kids as I would treat my own obviously with boundaries lol
The most important part about being a nanny...
I’ve been blessed with the sweetest kids to the kids who need a little extra attention and needs either way I love the kids I work with! But a special memory for me was I was working with one of my babysitter kids we had been working on tying our shoes I happen to be getting picnic stuff together for our park day and I hear this VERY LOUD SCREECH from my living room bless her lil heart she came running in as I’m running to her as we both ran into each other she screamed “miss amanda!!!! I did it” she started to cry I didn’t understand until she pointed down n she had tied her shoes! We were both crying at that point lol
