A little bit about me

Hi, I’m Aanya!
I’m 23, I grew up in ucity and recently moved back into town this year. I’ve worked with individuals ranging from from children to adults. I started caring for others at a really young age. At 11 years old I was already volunteering at my baby brothers daycare in the infant room. By the time I was 19 years old my parents had acquired in total about 16/17 children. My youngest sibling is 2 years old and my eldest is 28 years old. Growing up with a huge family inspired me to start a career in caring for those with developmental disabilities and therefore I’ve been an aid to those for the last few years. While covid restrictions were up, most of the 2020 year was used to help my younger siblings homeschool while my parents worked. Which gave me more insight on the homeschooling dynamic and has better prepared me for the future. Im nurturing and I believe any child deserves the comfort of knowing that they’re safe and respected.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve volunteered with children at my brothers daycare. I’ve also been an active nanny for my family in the last year.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Most kids love arts and crafts with me. Also, cooking! It gives the the children I care for the capability to learn day to day skills in their own unique way.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Knowing who and what the child is. I can’t help anyone if I’m not learning them when I first meet them. Being a caregiver it was my job to analyze my client and write notes at the end of the shift to conclude their active behavior throughout my shift. Learning what my clients needs were helped me be a better advocate for them.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve worked with special needs adults and have been accustomed and trained to deal with those and their abilities no matter what age.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My niece singing on a her playground set with me. She was just a few months shy from turning two. I had her one morning and we went outside to play on her set. She’s a shy gal so when she started singing “Almost There” by Princess and the Frog. My heart was warmed. It was mostly her humming and mixing the song with twinkle twinkle little star. Otherwise it was such a cute moment because my niece till this day is working on breaking out of her shell. And every mile stone is important.

Sahara J. - Seeking Work in University City

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in University City, MO: Sahara J.

Hi. I’m Sahara, a recent high school graduate. I can be described as a social butterfly, compassionate, maybe an organized freak. Lol. I love working with children as I’ve previously volunteered at elementary. I did varies activities such as sports, reading to them, and discussing global issues in a way they can understand. I have 5 siblings and basically raised them myself as our parents worked often. It involved getting them changed, dressed , prepping food for them and various household chores. Yes, that pretty much sums it up.
Bethany V. - Seeking Work in University City

Babysitter Available in University City, MO: Bethany V.

Hi there!
My name is Bethany! I have experience as a nanny and as an assistant teacher at Stepping Stones Learning Center. I have an EQIT (Expanding Quality in Infant and Toddler Care) certificate and I'm continuing to expand my knowledge on the development of infants' and toddlers' brains, the way they think, and how that knowledge can help me become a better caregiver. I'm familiar with safe-sleep practices to prevent SIDS. I also know ASL and am willing to teach your child some basic signs if you'd like. I am CPR certified and I enjoy puzzles, developmentally appropriate games, reading, and the outdoors! My favorite thing about being a nanny is watching the children grow and learn to become independent little humans.
I hope overall to have a positive impact on your family's life :)
