I've been an assistant teacher for The Goddard School for Early Childhood Development for 10 years, and then went onto work for the COOR ISD this year in a severely mentally challenged classroom for the last 7 months.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Messy art projects like clay pinch pots or finger painting are everything! STEM projects with children are also exhilarating. I've had a blast creating different non toxic goops and goo, or even a dough to really get jazzed to experiment with chemistry. Nature is a child's best friend in my humble Summer opinion. There is nothing like creating a firefly canister, or catching a butterfly as a child!
