I love playing sports and staying active, which I know many young kids have plenty of energy for. But wind-down activities that I enjoy include coloring, puzzles, Lego building, and many brain-exercising activities.

Children are forever growing and learning. Their young years are the most important because they retain so much information that will really affect them as they get older, so it's extremely important to me to set the best example for my kids. Prepare them for the real world while still letting them be kids and fully live out their youth while they can.

My oldest brother is special needs, he's 11 years older than me, so I've been caring for him my entire life. Especially now that I am much older, my family and I devote a lot of our time supporting him and have for all his life.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I was nannying one of my kids about a year ago. Before my family moved away, the parents and their son surprised me with a basket full of my favorite goodies and pictures of the family and me throughout the time I spent with them. That moment really touched my heart because, although I was sad to see them move away, I realized they had spent time getting to know me as a person, not just as an employee.
