More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
As a dedicated previous preschool teacher of 2 years, I have experience caring for children of all ages. My passion is creating a nurturing and engaging environment where kids can thrive, grow, and explore their creativity. I love supporting their development and helping them build a strong foundation for the future.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love taking kids on outdoor adventures, where they can explore nature, learn, and have fun in the fresh air. Whether it’s hiking, collecting leaves, or just playing outside, I believe these experiences foster curiosity and joy. I also have a passion for doing art projects with children, encouraging them to express themselves creatively and explore different materials and techniques. It’s amazing to see their imaginations come to life through both nature and art!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing about being a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing, and loving environment where children feel secure and supported. It's about building trust, being patient, and understanding each child’s unique needs while fostering their emotional, social, and intellectual growth. A nanny plays a key role in a child’s development, so it's essential to provide consistent care, offer guidance, and help them explore the world with confidence and curiosity.
My experience with special needs children...
Working with children with autism as both a nanny and a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) has been a deeply rewarding and eye-opening experience. As a nanny, I provided personalized care, adapting daily routines to support each child's unique needs while fostering a nurturing and structured environment. I learned to be patient, flexible, and creative in my approach, using play and sensory activities to encourage engagement and communication. Transitioning into my role as an RBT, I gained a deeper understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques, implementing individualized behavior plans to help children develop essential life skills, improve social interactions, and manage challenging behaviors. The combination of these roles has given me a well-rounded perspective, allowing me to support children with autism in a way that is both compassionate and evidence-based, making meaningful impacts in their lives and their families' lives.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny/babysitting moment was watching a child finally master a skill they’d been working so hard on. We had spent days practicing together, celebrating the small steps and turning mistakes into learning moments. When it finally clicked for them, their whole face lit up with pride — and they immediately wanted to show me first. That pure excitement, trust, and connection reminded me exactly why I love working with kids: being part of those little victories that mean the world to them.
