More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been a full time nanny every summer for the past 3 years, and have childcare experience for over 8 years. I have also been an observer at various elementary schools and early childhood centers. I have enjoyed my time with children and am headed into my senior year studying elementary education.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am a very active person and love spending time doing activities with children. In my previous nanny experiences, we spent a lot of time playing games outdoors. I have my own car and am comfortable taking children to various activities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is developing a relationship with the children. I don't want to just simply watch them, but I enjoy getting invested in their lives. I enjoy going to important events and showing each child that I care about them individually and want to be a positive influence in their lives.
My experience with special needs children...
I was able spend an entire summer nannying for a young boy with autism. I also was a member of the council for exceptional children in high school. I've volunteered at the special olympics and aided various students with special needs in completing classwork. Additionally, I've taken two special education courses at my university during my degree program.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite parts of being a nanny has been watching the twin boys I care for fall in love with basketball. When I first met them, they sat the bench for their team and could barely make a shot. Over the years, I’ve seen their love for the game increase. We played a lot of one-on-one games together which then turned into them being positive contributors to their team. Seeing them have a goal and meet it was extremely rewarding.

I've nannied, babysat, and taught children of all ages- from infants to high schoolers. While I have 14 years of actual childcare experience, I started officially nannying at the age of 16 and continued with the same family for 5 years, returning during the summers when I was completing my degree at the University of Texas at Austin. After receiving my degree in Political Science, I was debating law school- so I took a job for 2 years in Los Angeles as a Paralegal and Trial Tech. While I enjoyed my time, I realized I wanted to go back to school to get my degree in Education. I just moved back home to the Houston area and am starting school. I am looking for a part - time, nanny-share or flexible option.

I've always had aspirations to be a great role model to younger children, as well as showing them the greater life of having someone who genuinely enjoys taking care of children in their heart. My bubbly and inner child has a natural way of showing up in my work life. It's not even a job to me, it's really hard finding great people now and days and the life I was given by my parents taught me more than I need to know. I have no kids of my own but have had experience for 5 plus years. I am a former cheerleader, as well as a ballerina. Which gives a little insight on how my personality would look like. You wont regret the decision of allowing me to take wonderful care of your kiddos. It's in me, not on me.
