More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I spent over two years as a full-time nanny for three children, ages 2, 4, and 8. My responsibilities included morning and bedtime routines, school transportation, meal preparation, homework assistance, planning activities, and household management. Before nannying, I worked at Shriners Children’s Hospital in pediatric orthotics and prosthetics. I’m also a former lifeguard and swim instructor, giving me additional experience working with children of different ages and abilities. I have been babysitting since 16 and have been helping families of all walks of life ever since
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love keeping children active, engaged, and learning! Some of my favorite activities include trips to parks, museums, libraries, zoos, playgrounds, and swimming pools. I also enjoy arts and crafts, baking, reading, imaginative play, and outdoor adventures. I believe children learn best through hands-on experiences and love finding creative ways to make everyday activities educational and fun. I prefer limiting screen time and encouraging children to explore the world around them!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and consistent environment where children feel supported, respected, and encouraged to grow. I value open communication with parents and believe working together as a team is essential. I strive to provide structure, patience, and positive guidance while still making childhood fun and memorable. Being a nanny is so much more than supervising children; it’s about building trust, encouraging independence, and being a positive influence in their lives.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children with autism, ADHD, communication differences, and physical disabilities. During my time at Shriners Children’s Hospital, I worked with pediatric patients with a variety of physical and developmental needs. I have also cared for nonverbal children and understand the importance of patience, consistency, individualized care, and adapting communication to each child’s needs. I’m currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Psychology, which continues to strengthen my understanding of child development and behavior.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moments are watching children grow and accomplish things they once struggled with. Whether it’s learning a new skill, overcoming a fear, or becoming more independent, being there to encourage them and celebrate their accomplishments is incredibly rewarding. After spending over two years with my previous nanny family, I was able to watch the children grow through so many milestones. Those little moments and the relationships you build along the way are what make being a nanny so special to me!
