Hello Owasso families, I’m 36 years old nanny looking for a live-in position preferably with a car, as I sold my car for a mission trip. I am now off the mission field of helping orphans, women & children in disaster zones.

I’m caring, creative, responsible, fun, and prefer to limit or remove screens in favor art or outdoors. And my life is centered on Jesus.

I would love to take care of your little ones. I was a nanny & mother’s assistant for every age group—up to 12 children, including special needs & adopted. I was a live-in nanny for 10 children who are like family to this day🩷 I’m trained in Fostercare & trauma informed care by IJM. I have take 2 college full-semester courses on CPR & First Aid at ORU. I was a traveling missionary nanny beginning in 2010, a youth leader, children’s pastor, & camp counselor. I have been an infant care worker for a mission retreat personally caring for 7 infants simultaneously 8am to 8pm & worked as an after-school teacher at a private school.

More About Me

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Nature, parks, art, reading/writing, making up children’s stories, involving children on learning clean-up and meal prep in a safe and fun way. No screens or very limited, non-stimulating/addicting tv, making fun films or plays for parents, devotion, character building activities, volunteer work (making things to give to those in need), exercises using imagination and creativity, and personality based learning and development. Also, have helped children with dyslexia, autism and speech impediments— as I have a speech impediment and dyslexia and someone close to me has autism. Also, very passionate about healthy organic eating.

My experience with special needs children...

I was a nanny/mother’s help for 12 children— 4 adopted: 1 had Down syndrome, one little girl was nonverbal and blind and could not walk. And infant twins who had trauma, disassociation, and no-attachment due to their birth mother’s drug use and neglect. Additionally, one of my first jobs was in my teens at a free daycare which gave scholarships to single mother’s with children who had special needs, including ADHD, Autism, speech impediments, learning difficulties, and or abject poverty.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment was actually a long period of time in which I was the nanny for 3 girls who struggled with ill temperament and fights among themselves, defiance, and disrespect to all adults. I took away television and added quality time talking about morals and doing devotionals, and watched them become the sweetest angels.
