A little bit about me

My name is Achot Aroman. I’m from Syracuse NY and graduated from high school in 2021 with a 3.7 GPA so I am fully equipped to tutor children as I’ve always done it for my two younger siblings. I am now a full time student at UMass Boston as a Biology Major currently taking this semester off (Fall 2023) and am looking for full time position as a babysitter/nanny. I occasionally work as a paid nanny but mainly for family and am now branching out. I am currently working towards receiving cpr training/certification and would be available all weekdays and occasionally weekends during the day. I love working with children and engaging in fun activities with them as well. There’s no such thing as a child who is too difficult! Please don’t let my lack of professional experience discourage you from hiring me, I’m simply a college student trying to make her way through the world!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being able to emotionally connect with a child is very important especially when it comes to understanding how each child reacts to different situations. I am able to calmly work under pressure and empathize at the same time as i’ve dealt with my sister when she was going through her terrible twos and I was in school during that time as well. Understanding that all children process their emotions is crucial to their development and I have always practiced that in my own home and with other children i’ve worked with as well.
