Polyana M. - Seeking Work in Worcester

17.14 / hour

My name is Polyana, but everyone calls me Poly. I am 25 years old, I lived in Brazil since I was born, I am a quite organized, patient and determined person, since I always look to reach my objectives. These characteristics were acquired through my creation. Since I was born I lived in the country, in a Christian family, where my mother was the psychologist of the city and my father, engineer agronomist. They were always examples for me as reference of work, perseverance and, specially, honesty and character. I lived There up to 10 years and then we moved to the capital. Now I graduated in nursing. I am touched by the art of taking care and the possibility to help others. During college I had the opportunity to work with children. My biggest experience with babies, besides my nephew who lives with me, was at I.C.U.s, also in the emergency areas, general clinic and in day-care centers. I was a trainee at a reference in taking care of children hospital in the city where I live. And these experiences have made me learn a lot, it was a great learning experience. I did all kinds of children and in all situations. This is one of the advantages of having my degree in nursing. I also know how to give a bath, to put to burp, to sing lullabies. I have experience with Nina Rosa’s children helping her on the weekends. I helped them preparing food, puting to sleep and also in the part of the amusement with drawings, music, educative toys or going to the mall, parks, beach and restaurants. The fact I love children makes work a pleasurable activity. Over time I lived and took care of other children, children of friends. In Brazil we don’t have the culture of baby sitter as the United States, our children usually end up staying with friends or relative when parents need time off over the weekend, or some other special night. I can take care of a house and organizing it, I´m not a very good cooker, but I can do some brazilian stuff, and the basic baby food and health stuff too. because with my experience in hospitals and in day-care centers, I already have enough ability to provide first aid. I have drivers license since 2007, it makes things easier. I love dogs, and animals in general. I am a very happy and clever person, like to be between friends and family. I love to do exercises every day, especially running at park, take care of my health, try to eat the right things, but of course I love chocolate, candies, ice cream and popcorn too. I really enjoy open air activities, going to the beach, camping. Love movies and trips. I am a very lively, outgoing, talkative and organized person. I like to be always happy and good about life, it makes things easier. I always look to the dialogue to resolve things, but am very focused and calm to solve problems. My life has always been very happy. I have a wonderful family, who always offered me love, dedication, education and training. Always been concerned about the values that would pass to us, children, and I think the work was done. So I wait to find a great family to show everything I learned from them and to pawn this paper of confidence, to share my energy, to try a new culture, to improve my English and to learn more, so that I can, in the future, do a master's degree in pediatrics. Hugs, Polyana!!

I have worked with infants first all through high school working in the nursery at my church. Along with that my sister and her daughter lived with us for the first two years of her life. Bathing, dressing, feeding, burping, and changing diapers is like second nature to me. More recently and professionally I was a nanny for a newborn until he was sixth months old. I took care of him on a day to day basis; the most challenging thing for me were the occasionally situations where nothing can stop the crying, but even those were far and few between, I learned through that how much patients babies require. The most rewarding is the smiles, giggles, baby talk, and every new thing they learn and are so proud of. I have also worked with toddlers; still in diapers and also potty training toddlers. They active and curious and. I encourage exploring and using their imagination. They are a challenging but fun age. I have worked a lot with elementary; nannying, camp counselor, and other summer classes for children.

Do you need a loving, creative, and reliable nanny or sitter? I am a 31 year old mother of a 7 week old little boy. I am looking for a long term nanny/babysitter position in which I can take my son along with me. Please know that I will give your children the care and attention they deserve despite my own son being around. I am available Monday through Saturday (hours flexible). Besides having experience with my own child, I babysat for many families in my teenage years. I have taken care of all ages of children. Although I am not against spending a little time watching television (especially PBS since it is quite educational), that is not all your children would do all day. I have a college degree in Art & Business and would love to be creative with your children. I love being outside and would make sure they got outside time every day (weather permitting). I am a very caring person and would love the opportunity to build a relationship with your children. I am planning on getting 1st Aid and CPR certified soon. I am willing to do light housework and cooking if requested. I am currently in the animal care field and love animals, so if you have dogs or cats, that would not be a problem at all. I am also able to provide transportation if needed. If you are looking for someone loving, creative, and reliable, please contact me! I am willing to be background checked as I have a clean criminal history. After an interview, great references are available. Please email me if you are interested. I hope to hear from you!
