A little bit about me

I started working with children in a church nursery when I was 9. I fell in love with caring for children and I've had several different experiences in the field. I've worked with groups of up to seven young children alone with no problem. I've also worked with newborns, toddlers, preteens, and special needs children too. I'm currently trying to pay my way through school, I'm trying to get certified as a nursing assistant and then after that I'll work as a nanny and a nurse to get my bachelor's degree in nursing. I'm CPR and First Aid certified, and I'm very responsible. I don't have my license yet, but I have my permit and I'm learning as fast as I can. I currently have a job working with two twin infants but I'm not making enough to keep myself above water so I'm looking for more solid work. I live off Main Street in Worcester. I'm always on time, I'm available on short notice, I'm also available as a housekeeper for $10 more an hour. I'm good at what I do. Thank you.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I'm a middle child of 13 cousins all living under the same roof, to say I was born into it is kind of an understatement. I then went to work in the church nursery because I could never focus on the sermons. Once I was old enough, I ran my own classes at summer camp with upwards are 10 kids under my care. I proceeded to get certified in First aid and CPR and started nannying full time for a woman in my church. Since moving to Massachusetts in 2016 I've only worked for two families, watching one toddler full time until her family moved and then watching two new born twins until the pandemic hit. I genuinely adore working with children and building a relationship with everyone I work with. This description is vague so please feel free to ask me any and all questions!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is understanding that you are now a person in this child's life, so how you act, what you teach them, it will stay in their heads. You have to be someone the child and the parent can count on. Being a nanny is different than just being a babysitter, these people are trusting you with the most important thing in their lives, their child. It's an enormous responsibility, and honestly an honor to be trusted.
