I’m an elementary education major over at Baker University. This is my last semester of classes before I get to student teach in the fall! I’m super excited to be able to work with kids so soon. I’m looking for jobs over the summer and possibly into student teaching to keep myself afloat until I get to have my very own classroom.
A little more about my personal life: I’m the oldest of 5, so while I don’t have a lot of paid experience with kids, I’ve been around them and helped managed them my whole life. Their ages are 19, 18, 16, and 6. I’ve changed diapers, moderated arguments, and all the things that come with being an oldest child.
At Baker, I’ve wrestled all four years, being a team captain for three, so I have great social, leadership and communication skills.
My time at Baker so far has given me a lot of knowledge over classroom management which translates at home. I know how to manage multiple children and entertain them.
