I have been babysitting ever since I was about 14 and I love it! I love kids and currently attending college to become a teacher someday. When I lived in Texas, I was a nanny for the same family for two to three three years, mostly over the summers. They had three kids and it was the best job I've ever had. I was the prime babysitter for the neighborhood, therefore babysitting almost every night during the school year and every day during the summer. Once I moved to Kansas about a year ago, it was harder to find babysitting jobs because I did not know anyone, but I still look after my cousins every now and again as well as my family friends' kids. I love children, and would love to take care of yours!

I have been working with children since I was about 10 years old on my own. However, I have also been surrounded by children my entire life. My mom would babysit on the regular, and I would help assist her. My babysitting experience began when I was around 10. I started out by watching our neighbor's kids. They had 3 children. When I was 10, they were aged 7, 5, and 3. Then when I got older, I started to watch close family friend's children. One of which had a young daughter. I watched her when she was about 3 or 4 until about 7. I also babysat for family. One aunt of mine has 3 children. One of her oldest boys is in 5th grade, the middle son is in kindergarten, and her daughter is 4. I began watching them when they were all young. After high school, I began to nanny for a family of 3. I watched mainly the two older boys who were 10 and 12 at the time. Their daughter, who was 5, went to day care most of the time, but I did have her some days. I took them to a number of summer camps and activities. We went to the pool a lot, and also attended free movies at the movie theaters. We even went bowling. We spent a lot of time reading books and going to the library. Some days though were spent indoors playing games and watching movies. After that experience, I really wanted to work with younger children because they are a little bit more mobile. This describes my personality. My aunt needed a nanny for my cousin. She was 9 at the time. We spent a lot of time going to soccer practices, going to the pool, going shopping, playing games, hanging out outdoors playing sports, and doing a lot of other various activities. She also practiced math problems, had to read a certain amount of minutes per day, and had chores to complete. Recently, I have watched a close family friend's newborn. He is now 7 months. A lot of responsibility comes with watching newborns and infants, but I think it is amazing to watch them grown and develop!

Babysat 3 boys twice a week for a year- ages 1, 3, and 5. Nanny for two girls in 2010 summer- ages 10 and 6. These were also the same girls that I taught private volleyball lessons for. The 10 year old is also on the recreational volleyball team I coach. We spent our summer outdoors in their backyard playing, going to the Shawnee pool and their neighborhood pool, scrapbooking, making snacks, coloring, and making up our own games. They had a dog that we frequently took on walks, and we even went to Shanwee Mission Park and went paddleboating one time!

Hello, I hope my bio gives you a good perspective of my experience as a childcare provider. I previously worked part-time in a daycare and full-time in a preschool. Now I am currently working in after-school activities with children in the county schools. I have been caring for children of all ages for several years. I first started volunteering in the nursery at my church. During this time, I would also go with my older siblings when they would babysit for family members. Then I began babysitting occasionally for the neighborhood families. When I was in high school, I got accepted into the Early Education program working full-time in a preschool that was greatly influential. The first year I worked at a Preschool for four days a week. Each day, there were 10 stations set up that focused on different lessons for the children. I had the opportunity to work one-on-one with the children teaching them the essentials of education. I have cared for many children, ages 4-months-old to 12-years-old. Although I am able to handle a wide range of children, I tend to be most comfortable with early toddlers to school-age students.

My last three years of high school, I was home schooled, and it allowed me to have a lot of free time on my hands; so I decided to become a nanny to make some extra money and to give me something to do. I’ve worked with 3 families in the last 7 years, with at least 2-4 children, ranging from ages 3 month - 14 years old. It’s allowed me to obtain much skill and insight on all the right tools it takes on being a great nanny.

Before I started babysitting, I volunteered weekly in my church's nursery and children's church. I did that from around age 10 to age 16, watching groups of children and sometimes leading activities in children's church. I started babysitting around age 12, for a few different families regularly. I've nannied for weeks at a time for children ages 0 to 10, watching up to three children at a time. I also worked at running birthday parties for groups of 15 to 20 children and communicating with their parents.
