Hi! My name is Edilawit, but I go by Addie. I’m a college student at Grossmont College and someone who truly enjoys caring for others. I live independently, so I’m very responsible, organized, and comfortable maintaining a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for children.

I’m also an aunt, and caring for children has always been a natural part of my life. In addition, I have been trusted to babysit for one of my Grossmont College professors, which reflects my reliability and the level of trust others place in me. I have experience working with youth ages 12–18, including homeless and foster youth, which has helped me become patient, trauma-informed, and attentive to individual needs.

As a former foster youth myself, I’m open-minded, compassionate, and skilled at building strong, trusting relationships with children from all backgrounds. I’m a great listener and I love being playful, engaging, and supportive while also providing structure and consistency.
