Hello, My name is Adela. I am bilingual in Spanish and English. I have been babysitting for eight years. I love kids and enjoy seeing them develop in front of my eyes. I'm a very active person and love being outside. I enjoy arts and crafts. I am a psychology major and in regards to schooling I focus on childhood development. I believe that a strong mind starts young therefore I love reading to every child I work with. While babysitting and being a camp leader I have performed activities such as cooking for kids, cleaning and tidying up around houses. I treat each child with care and love as I see them as little people that will be responsible for a bright future. I have worked with amazing families. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Going outside(zoo, park, beach etc.)
On rainy days I love going to the library and staying in doing arts and crafts. Love baking and sensory play for development.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I would have to say for this is being caring and understanding that these are just tiny humans. Each one just needs a helping hand to navigate the world. Also, knowing that what might work for one child may not work for another and being able to adapt to that is extremely important.

Most recent moment for me would have to be a proud moment. The kids that I am currently working with both need learning help and recently one of them started reading with my help. It was a very proud moment both for him and me. Helping him read and see the progress he has made warms my heart.
