A little bit about me

I'm 27 years old, my last job was at an Elementary school, I worked in the Special Education department and then switched to a contract job as the Social Emotional Language Coordinator and the contract ended. I have been working with children since I was 13 years old, starting off with watching my nephews, and then moving into working at different early learning centers, and then to the school. I have great experience working with children. I enjoy being outdoors with the children and letting them learn and explore outside. I recently graduated from SFCC with an associates in the Interpreter Training Program for American Sign Language.
I’m very dependable, a hard worker, a quick learner and easy going as well as flexible. I also enjoy house cleaning and meal prepping.
I love to have fun activities for the kids to do, whether it's baking, cooking, hiking, playing outside, and learning new things. I also do enjoy relaxing days.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked in many places with children while attending college. I have worked at early learning centers with children 0 months to 7 years. I have worked at the Salish School of Spokane, and am currently working at the elementary school helping in classes where it's needed. I have also been babysitting my nephews while growing up.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some activities I enjoy doing with children indoors is crafts, music, and imaginary play baking and or cooking together that they enjoy, reading books, , as well as what they like to do. I enjoy being outdoors with children to allow them to run around and play, and learn from nature, and experience new adventures. such as; hiking, sports, swimming, tag, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny in my opinion would be the care, the welcoming, as well as their safety. The child should be able to explore new adventures, while feeling the energy of being loved, cared for, and know they are in safe hands and are going to have a fun time.

My experience with special needs children...

I have currently worked with three children with autism. I've had a quick learning experience with each one of them as they have different needs that need to be met. I have worked with them in achieving pre academic goals, and learning to be more social and independent but also reassuring them that they have me if they need it.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I haven't worked as a nanny before. However working with children for many years my favorite moment is seeing their excitement about a game they had just come up with, or learning something for the first time. The excitement from telling me what their favorite part of the day or activity is also a favorite moment of mine. Another favorite moment is when they become excited to see you, the joy in their face the moment you walk into the door. It's the trust and respect and knowing that they are safe with me, and are going to have fun that is a great feeling.
