A little bit about me

Hi, I’m Adrianne, but I usually go by AJ (she/her)! I’m a 19 year-old sophomore in college at the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities, but I’m currently home (Oklee, MN) for the summer. I come from a long line of teachers who specialize in teaching from early childhood to adolescence, so I have a lot of experience from watching and learning how they work with children, and before switching my major to teach High School students, I was going to college for Early Childhood Education. I’ve done a good amount of babysitting from toddlers to middle-aged kids, and I’ve always loved to work with children. I’m completely open and capable of helping clean the household, driving, working with special needs children, cooking, and am very flexible and open-minded to most other work. I have many teachers in the family and am going to school to become a teacher, and I have also babysat quite a few times with different age ranges.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like being creative, so I like to think of different arts and crafts to do, fun snacks that they can help make, go to the park or play games inside or outside of the house, and more!

My experience with special needs children...

I don’t have much experience working with special needs children hands-on, but I have taken several courses on how to interact and connect with children who need a little bit of extra help, and I’m happy to learn more.
