Hi, I'm Adrienne and I am an experienced nanny and formerinfant teacher from both Parkview Montessori and Primrose Sixes rd. I have experience taking care of up to 10 infants at one time with another teacher.
I have my child development associate, certification for birth - 5 years, a health and safety and Fire Safety certification as well as cpr and First Aide. I have my own reliable transportation and have worked as a daycare attendant at petsuites and a vet tech at a veterinary hospital so I am very comfortable with pets as well!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a special education paraprofessional and respite care worker with little friends and the cherokee county school diatrict so I have a great deal of experience with special needs children both verbal and nonverbal.
I have several years experience running my own infant and toddler classrooms where I cared for up to 6 infants on my own or up to 10 with another teacher. I can multi-task for sure!
Just as a special side note I have an inate ability to connect with each child on their level at their pace. In a way they teach me! I am patient and schedule driven with bounds of empathy and compassion. My philosophy is simple. If a child can do own their own, they should do on their own. Teach them the gift of curiosity and independence from the beginning. I like to foster each child's strong suites and build on them! Learning never ends.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to set up water play and swim as well! I love the park and museums! I just love spending time, quality time, with children. Let them lead when they can and I will lead when I must

The most important part about being a nanny...

Most important is safety a d security of each child's soul. A solid foundation of patience and gentle guidance had been the key for me!

My experience with special needs children...

Most recently I have worked with special needs pre schoolers in the pre k classroom.
I have cared for a 10 year old boy with cerebral palsy in the school setting using the Lexus system to communicate.
I also have worked in respite care with downs syndrome and other behavioral and intellectual disabilities. And lastly I worked as a behavior technician one on one with a 7 year old nonverbal child..

The most important part about being a nanny...

The toilet paper fiasco! She thought she was a cat and unrolled all.of it. We sat down and played and ripped and tore up that toilet paper until she bored of it and then we worked together to clean up the mess! We learned spontaneity, had some embedded learning and a great time!
