I love activities that stimulate creativity and imagination such as playdough, coloring, telling stories, and simple board games. I also love to let kids use their imagination to make up their own games and do things that make them happy and help them get energy out.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments is with a family with three boys. When I first started nannying the boys the mom informed me that the middle child (four years old) struggled with anger issues and had a hard time loving or connecting with anyone. I continued to work with him and do activities that he could pick and suited his interests well. One day I was home sick and couldn’t come over and the next day when I was back he came running to me and said “Ainsley I missed you don’t ever leave me again I love you so much” and it really was a special moment for me to see that the work I had been doing with him really had made a difference.
