I was a Water Safety Instructor for about a year and I taught (mainly) small children how to swim and float.
As mentioned in my bio- I've taken care of children before for my aunt. I helped with meals, cleaning, checking blood glucose, taking their dog out, feeding their cats, etc.

My experience with special needs children...
My middle cousin has type 1 diabetes (diagnosed around 6 months, he is currently 5 years old) and I helped check his blood glucose, handled healthy+low carb snacks, and occasionally calculated his insulin dosage (but he got a CGM and insulin pump once older so I am also familiar with the Dexcom G7 and did not handle the pump)
My baby brother has autism spectrum disorder, so I am familiar with that as well, but every kid is different and has unique needs.
