Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love spending time with kids, especially when we’re doing something fun, creative, and still a teaching moment. One of my favorites is making crafts that’ll have an impact on the kids. It can be something fun or a teaching moment. Hands on (in my opinion) is the best learning style. Reading books together is another fave of mine. It helps with speech and speed. Also I love playing Roblox! I play it all the time with my siblings, they’re some really good learning and fun simulations on there.
My experience with special needs children...
I don’t have any formal experience yet, but I’m very interested in gaining it. I do have a cousin with Down syndrome, and spending time with him has taught me patience, flexibility, and how to be more mindful of individual needs. That experience has made me want to learn more and become better at supporting children with special needs.
