I have worked as a day-camp consoler for 2 years, a K-8 tutor for 4 years, and a babysitter/nanny for 9 years. I have also served as a mentor and mentor coordinator for the DREAM Program for over a year.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing almost all standard activities with children, including but not limited to: crafts, playing outside, playing board games and video games, helping with homework and chores, and practicing skills/hobbies (dance, sports, etc.). I also enjoy bringing kids on small trips, like the park, museums, and indoor play places. I am also happy to plan fun activities to do with kids, like making slime, scavenger hunts, and obstacle courses.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is making that the children are not only taken care of physically, but that they are also having fun and growing mentally/emotionally. Having a positive role model that one can confide in and feels comfortable with is extremely important in the journey of boosting self-esteem and figuring out their identities.

I have worked with children with severe allergies, chronic health conditions, learning disabilities, mental disabilities, and physical disabilities. The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is seeing my kids reach their goals/feel proud of themselves. Weather that is moving up academically, learning a new hobby, or just finishing a scavenger hunt; they are all heartwarming to me, and nothing can beat the feeling of knowing you helped a child boost their self-esteem.
