"Alex watched my son during the summer of 2020 while my husband and I were at work. Every day he would organize activities for him that were above and beyond what we expected of him. He was organized, punctual, structured, and intelligent. He had such an impact on my son that he still talks about him and the activities they did together. Alex followed the rules and guidelines of our home while making each day educational and fun for the whole summer. If I needed care again, Alex would be the first person I would want to hire."

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My previous childcare experience includes: Enrichment Manager with the DREAM Program (site manager for after-school and summer camp programs); After-School Teacher at Southshire Community School; Assistant Head Counselor at Gloucester Township Recreation Department; K-8 tutor in all core subjects; full-time summer nanny; babysitter (10+ years, after-school, school vacation, and weekend care); event childminder (weddings, workplace, etc.).
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to take children on little adventures, such as to the park or a local play place. I also enjoy doing crafts, playing imaginative games, and cooking/baking with them. I come to each family with my "babysitter bag" which has supplies for crafts and games for us to do together. For older kids, I usually also include a workbook or activity book that belongs to just them, as it makes the "babysitter bag" feel even more special/personalized.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is making sure that the children are not only taken care of physically, but also having fun and growing mentally/emotionally. Having a positive role model is extremely important for children and I try my hardest to be that person for all of the children I work with. This often looks like listening intently and supporting children's interests and passions.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with children with severe allergies, chronic health conditions, learning disabilities, mental disabilities, and physical disabilities. If you are looking for care for your child with special needs, please reach out to me. We can discuss your child's needs and see if I would be the right fit.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is seeing the kids I work with reach their goals/feel proud of themselves. Weather that is moving up academically, learning a new hobby, or just finishing a scavenger hunt; they are all heartwarming to me, and nothing can beat the feeling of knowing you helped a child boost their self-esteem.
