My name is Alexandra Cathcart! I am 19 years of age I'm a senior in High School - soon to graduate. Looking at colleges. I am going to get certified for CPR and First Aid. I do have a car so I have reliable transportation. I’m looking for a job where I am more than the baby sitter. Being a care giver in a child life isn’t a role I take lightly, their need are deeper than physical and the impact starts from day one. Being a positive role in their life is the most important task, taking care of their physical needs is the easy task. I also have a one year old son that would be brought along with me. I am a stay at home mom & I am looking to make some money while doing what I love & maybe helping your family! I would prefer a smaller family, due to my son being brought as well. No exclusion either to the bigger families its more about you trusting me to be able to take care of all the kids at once. We can further discuss details when the time comes.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I started working with kids when my mom had her own in-home daycare I was always her little helper. Ive had a passion for working with kids sense I was a kid. There’s something so appealing to me about nurturing for children. As I grew up I watched my moms friends children, the neighbors children. All though I dont have any special education in child care nor have I worked at a day care I have years of experience with all different ages. I also am always educating myself on working with children past physical needs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Indoor activities - Board games, videos games, dancing around to music
Outdoor activities- Playing in the snow, sledding, any sports.
Most importantly any sort of activities your children enjoy. My job is to give them a good role model & friendship. I want them to be excited to hangout with me during the day!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love working with kids because the impact a adult figure has on a child. Ive had sitters good and bad and the good ones are the reason why I enjoy being a care giver so much myself. It’s nice to know your child is safe when you can’t be around but its even nicer knowing the kind of values the person spending all that time with your child has. Its important to me that your child is with someone that educates themselves on communicating with children of all ages and is making a good impact in their life.

My experience with special needs children...

I dont have much experience with physical disabilities but I am always open to learning with real dedication. I have experience with emotional and behavioral difficulties because my little brother has both emotional and social autism. I have a few learning disabilities myself so I have personal experience in that position.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when I just started working for this family of three kids & the first morning they were crying when momma had to leave. At the end of my first day, they cried when I had to go home. It was sad to watch when I left everyday but I knew id be back the next day. They brought me so much joy.
