I used to be a camp counselor for the YMCA outside of Kamas Utah! I was in charge of 10-12 kids a week ranging from ages 7-16!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love, love, love art! So anything artsy I’m a big fan of! I love being outside and playing in the water! I have occasionally helped with writing and spelling! I love going to parks or just going on walks with them to get the kids outside and moving!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The children’s safety. If I take on a job looking out for someone else kids their safety and wellbeing are so important to me.
My experience with special needs children...
I haven’t had a ton of experience with special needs but I have a brother with Asperger‘s, all of my sisters have ADHD so I am familiar with how to help with that as well. The family I many for now their little boy is a twin and his ankles developed super weak and he hasn’t really been able to walk until recently so I have helped him with walking and trying to get him to move.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Like I mentioned above, the little boy I nanny for hasn’t been able to really walk without help or braces with how his little ankles developed in the womb. But lately he has been walking and being able to see him up and moving on his own and being so happy that he is able to walk has just absolutely melted my heart.
