The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is loving what you do and always being aware of your surroundings. As a nanny you have to treat every child as if they’re your own. This job requires you to have someone’s WORLD in your hands and you can’t afford to make silly mistakes that may put the child in danger or an unsafe situation. Loving your job is important as well! You can’t ensure a child is happy and having a good time if you’re not. This means being interactive and playing with the children is a crucial part of your job in order to build trust with the parent and the child.

-I have a brother who has cerebral palsy & is disabled who I’ve had to babysit several times.
-Also have a baby cousin who is autistic who I care for from time to time as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment had to be when I took my kids to the pool. They used to be afraid of the water but after I worked with them a bit they got more comfortable. This specific time they were SOO excited to go to the pool and it warmed my heart. This was the first day they just jumped in the pool no hesitation and swam all on their own! I can see in their faces that they were proud of themselves for doing it all alone & I was so proud of them too as well as myself for seeing them make progress!
