I was fortunate to have been chosen as Nanny to a very active/innovative/and wonderful little boy. He is now 6 and is in school full time. I took care of him from 5:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the evenings 7 days a week. We were involved in many activities daily. We did art, went on adventure walks ,picnics at the park, swimming and many other activities. I grew to care very much for Ken as he has me. I still see him occasionaly . His parent has kept me up to date on him and his progress in life . We all have become friends as one tends to do when in a family situation daily. I also was the Nanny/sitter to a family with three children. Two girls and a boy, one of the girls is now 19, the other girl is 11 and the boy is 13. I had many wonderful years working for them and again still see them often and am invited to their Birthdays and many special ocassions. I was fortunate to have been included in such a wonderful family and enviroment.I will always treasure the time spent and the many memories I have of each and every family and child I have worked with . Each and every child and family I have worked for has left an imprint upon my heart. I also was the Director for a Chilcare center for 2 years. When the Center decided to close due to Board Member issues, I was offered the opportunity to open up another Center with their backing and approval, however due to personal reasons I declined. I have enjoyed each and every moment of time with all and look forward to the same with another family in the future.

Nanny for a family that I met through the church I worked at for 2 yrs. cared for their 2 children in their Windermere home. Children's ages were 4 yrs. & 14 mos. served as a preschool teacher at a church for 2 yrs. cared for children ages 6 weeks old through 10 yrs. old. Tues. nights were my favorite night to work, because I had the opportunity to work with elementary aged children. They would bring me their homework to help them with. I helped them in such subjects as: reading, writing, spelling, & math. I felt very rewarded getting to use my master's degree in education.

I am currently studying to take my professional educators exam for I have completed all classes towards my elementary education degree at UCF. I have interned in classrooms of over 20 students from kindergarten to 6th grade. These classrooms included students with behavior problems, disabled students, and ESOL students who struggled with English language. Before I had chosen the child education path, I was babysitting for neighbors and family friends, sometimes up to 5 children at a time. I know that childcare is my calling.

I took care of about 6 children, 3 families. They were literally my life until I had to take off and start my future. It's been killing me being away from all those children because I was basically always there for them. I would like to establish that bond again with a new family. My parents are very "OCD" when it comes to cleaning so I pretty much know how to keep a house "spic and span." I am currently living in Winter Park, but transportation won't be a problem. I would love to hear from you soon and answer any questions that you have!

As a parent, it’s natural for you to ask your nanny for a little extra help around the house. However, the boundaries for a nannies duties vary from person to person. In general, a nanny is responsible for making sure your children’s needs are met.
