I think the most important part of being a nanny is making the child feel safe, comfortable and loved in his/her home even when their parents are away. I ensure to aide your child's growth and development by being another adult to care and be there for them.
My experience with special needs children...
I have a family member with downs syndrome. I also helped plan a "Day of Dreams" while in high school that was a combination of paired buddies taking on obstacle courses, face painting, sports, arts and crafts, dancing and much more fun! I also participated in Night to Shine every year where I was paired with someone with disabilities and gave them the night of their lives at prom!
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was when I took 2 young kids to dog beach for the first time and watched them light up! Babies and Puppies what more could you need?
