More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My experience includes care for children in my family as well as my mothers friends or co workers! I mainly did childcare while I was in middle school to high school and since graduating have held full time jobs! Since I am back in school I am looking for an enjoyable part time job!
While babysitting in middle school- high school I cared for:
My aunt Jennifer's 3 children ages ranging from 4mo- 9yrs (when needed).
My cousin Jenna's newborn until she was about 3yrs. (when needed).
Our family friend Brenda's daughter age 4yrs until 6yrs (when needed).
And many others!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some indoor activities I enjoy doing with children are puzzles, board games, video games (if allowed), watching show's (if allowed), allowing them to help in the meal prep/ cleaning up (if allowed and age appropriate) so they can gain some kitchen prep as well as house tending knowledge, hide and seek, communicating and dolls/ toys!
For outdoor activities (time of year dependent) walks, park excursions, zoo trips (if permitted), sidewalk chalk and bubbles, tag, if they are in any sports practice is a must, flower picking, and bug hunting!

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny to me is that the child feels heard and seen. I know and can understand how fast the world can be and how there are so many experiences happening without our knowledge. To me safety trust and reliability go hand in hand when caring for a child and hoping I am able to gain that from them. So much has changed since I was their age my biggest hope is that they are able to bring any concerns to an adult in a comfortable way without hesitation. I would love for them to be able to speak to me without fear and knowing I at least try to understand what they say. Experiences give way to character and I just want them to have the best!
My experience with special needs children...
I babysat for my aunt and uncle many times with their 3 children one of which was blind and autistic! My cousin Logan required much patience and a different set of activities targeted towards what he specifically liked and enjoyed! I know autism can come with many learning curves and adaptabilities from the caregiver/ caretaker, I feel I am very equipped to take on those learning curves based on what you know and what I am able to gather from encounter and reaction from the child!
The most important part about being a nanny...
A heartfelt memorable moment I had with my cousin Sandra Jane while babysitting was definitely a little personal due (to family situations and her mother). But just her acknowledging that she could rely on me when her mother was not present in her life. Knowing that someone would be there to help her learn, process and experience without judgement meant a lot to me.
