I have an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education and experience caring for and working with children of different ages and needs. I’m also a mom of two, so I understand how important patience, consistency, and creating a safe environment are. I have experience supporting children with special needs and enjoy using music, art, play, and hands-on activities to make learning engaging and fun.

I love getting kids involved in creative, hands-on activities like drawing, painting, crafts, reading, music, dancing, and imaginative play. Outdoors, I enjoy nature walks, playgrounds, exploring, and simple games. I’m always happy to follow a child’s interests and make it fun!
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is becoming a positive part of a child’s everyday life while also supporting the family as a whole. I love getting to know children in their natural environment, learning who they are, and helping them feel safe, understood, and encouraged. I also value being someone a family can trust to help create a stable, happy home where their children can learn, grow, and just be themselves. Being invited into that part of a family’s life is something I genuinely appreciate.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience as a Behavioral Interventionist and as a 1:1 support in an elementary classroom with children on the autism spectrum and with social-emotional needs. I learned to help children regulate before trying to teach or correct behavior. During difficult moments, I used fresh air, nature, drawing, music, movement, and quiet activities to help them reset. Once calm, we could talk about emotions, triggers, communication, personal space, and healthier ways to handle big feelings. My goal was always to help the child feel understood while building confidence, communication, and practical skills they could use the next time they felt overwhelmed.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments was helping a child through a really big emotional moment. We stepped outside, watched the clouds, looked for birds, and talked about the trees while he had time to reset. Once he was calm, we sat down and talked about what happened and how we could handle it differently next time. Seeing him go from completely overwhelmed to calm, smiling, and ready to talk reminded me why I love working with children so much.
