Hello! My name is Alexis. I am a charismatic, patient and reliable individual. I absolutely adore working with children and have done so since I was about 15 years old. As a senior in high school I interned at a preschool and upon graduating I studied psychology at Chico State University which included classes in child psychology and development. I currently work as a private childcare provider through Valley Oaks Children’s Services in Chico, California but I am prepared to relocate immediately upon hiring. The family I currently work for has had me nanny for them for approximately a year and a half and we have an incredible and respectful relationship, which is something I hope to share with your family as well. I’m prepared to be available for any hours necessary and would love to be as big of a help to your family as possible. It’s hard to choose one particular moment that I could label as my favorite as there’s moments every single day that fascinate me with the children I currently work with. But one of my favorite experiences has to home-schooling the 5 year old I currently work with and getting to experience her first day of kindergarten with her. Also, when we planted our own sunflower garden. Witnessing children learn new skills and enjoying new things is one of the greatest feelings I have been fortunate enough to appreciate.
