Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Baby & Toddler Obstacle Courses: Using couch cushions, pillows, and soft mats to practice safe climbing, crawling, and balancing.
Mess-Free Painting: Putting paint inside a Ziploc bag and taping it to the floor or window so infants and toddlers can "paint" without the mess.
Stroller Walks & Nature "I Spy": Taking babies and toddlers outside to look at birds, trees, and cars, helping them build vocabulary.
Sorting Games: Sorting toys, blocks, or large buttons by color, shape, or size.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is building a safe, trusting, and nurturing environment where children can thrive. While keeping a schedule, prepping meals, and planning activities are all part of the job, the core of great childcare comes down to three main pillars:
Trust and Communication: Being a reliable teammate for the parents. They need complete peace of mind knowing you can handle routines, emergencies, and daily challenges with maturity.
Emotional Security: Making sure the kids feel safe, loved, and heard when their parents aren't there. When children feel secure, they have the confidence to learn and explore.
Adaptability: Understanding that every child, milestone, and day is different. Having the patience to meet a child exactly where they are—whether they are a newborn needing a strict nap routine or a toddler having a big tantrum—is what separates a babysitter from a great nanny.

My experience with special needs children...
During my time as a Gymnastics Coach I have had some kids with special needs and I can easily adapt to their needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my absolute favorite moments was with a 10-month-old I was caring for. We had been working on balance by playing with soft blocks on the floor. One afternoon, he stood up on his own, looked right at me with a huge grin, and took three shaky steps into my arms before laughing and falling over. Being the one there to encourage him, capture that moment for his parents, and celebrate his big milestone was incredibly rewarding.
