Reading, painting, going to the park, museums, the zoo, movies, amusement parks .. I absolutely enjoy cooking and teaching kids how I make soul food.. I enjoy having tea little parties and mini home spas. I even do all this with my own daughters.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part is teaching and learning because you’d be surprised on how much you can learn from children they are all so special in their own way.. they teach us how to be grateful and to enjoy life for what it is. If anyone is having a bad day I would say spend it with your kid or family or friends kid and they will brighten your day in ways you’d never imagined.
My experience with special needs children...
Only experience I have with special needs kids is when I was 16 and I would babysit my cousin Corey and he was 6 at the time (he’s has autism) but for some reason he wouldn’t talk to anyone else but me. I learned some sign language to help him and his mom communicate. He’s older now and talks to everyone.
The most important part about being a nanny...
In October 2017 the 2 kids I was babysitting their dad passed away and I’ll never forget that Christmas and New Year’s when they stayed with me and my daughters for the holidays they told me I helped them be happy again and took their mind off from being sad/depressed and that touched my soul and seeing them happy was the best gift ever.
