As someone who really enjoys engaging with children it's not hard to find activities to do. Indoors we can do anything from a movie night to a tea party or working on reading skills. And outdoors we can play games, learn about nature and wildlife, or just run around and have fun.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for children with adhd, autism, and sight issues. There can be some long tough days but it is rewarding work.
