More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have over 10 years of childcare experience, including caring for infants, toddler twins, and school-aged children, sometimes up to 8 kids at a time (ages 1–10). I taught middle school for 3 years, ran summer and part-time nanny jobs, and worked as a party hostess at Chuck E. Cheese and Laser Tag, supervising and entertaining groups of children. I focus on creating safe, fun, and developmentally enriching experiences for every child.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

• Reading stories and singing songs
• Arts, crafts, and imaginative play
• Outdoor fun: walks, playgrounds, nature exploration
• Educational games and hands-on learning
• Sensory play and simple science activities
• Creating structured yet playful routines

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is ensuring children are safe, cared for, and happy. This means looking after their physical needs and helping them grow emotionally, socially, and intellectually. Building trust with both the children and their parents is crucial for open communication and effective caregiving. Being attentive, patient, and adaptable helps meet each child's unique needs and creates a positive, enriching experience.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum. In my role as an 8th Grade Humanities Teacher at High Tech Middle Media Arts, I developed and implemented individualized learning plans to accommodate the diverse needs of my students. I collaborated closely with special education teachers to modify lessons and create supportive, inclusive classroom environments. My approach focuses on patience, understanding, and tailored strategies to help each child reach their full potential.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when my very first family’s children — who I started caring for when they were babies — served as my flower girls and ring bearer in my wedding. They were 10, 8, and 6 years old at the time, and having them be a part of such a special day really showed the lasting bond we had built.
