After receiving my certification for RMA I chose pediatrics to complete my internship. I volunteered in the Kindergarten Dept. for 4 years. I am also a substitute teacher at the Elementary level K-5 focusing on children with disabilities. I am also the mother of 4 grown children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Apart from being entertaining, many games can be educational. Nearly all activities promote development of language, cognitive skills, as well as fine and gross motor skills. So not only do you get to have fun together, I can be proud that I'm teaching a child that learning can be fun. I find that children love music, reading, coloring, bubbles, puzzles, games, activities for seasonal celebrations, visiting a local park, outdoor activities such as riding bikes, scooters, roller skating, and basketball.

I am able to handle multiple tasks on a daily basis with a creative approach to problem solving. When starting each day, remember that each child is unique, the use of diagrams, graphics and pictures help support instruction and remember to keep it simple. Lastly, always create opportunities for success.
