More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Beyond my professional experience, I’ve had the joy of helping care for children in my personal life. One of my best friends since high school has a 3-year-old, and I’ve been closely involved in helping raise and nurture her. I also come from a large family with many new additions, including a nephew, which has given me plenty of experience supporting children of different ages and personalities. These experiences have strengthened my patience, creativity, and ability to connect with children in meaningful ways.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy being present and engaged with children throughout the day, whether that means joining in imaginative play, helping with puzzles or games, supporting homework or learning moments, or simply being someone they feel comfortable talking to. I like encouraging curiosity, confidence, and independence while making sure children feel safe, listened to, and supported.

My experience with special needs children...

I spent two years in high school working as an aide in a special needs classroom, where I learned the importance of patience, understanding, and meeting each child where they are. Through this experience, I supported children with daily activities, communication, and classroom routines while creating a calm and respectful environment. It taught me how to be attentive to individual needs and how to provide care that is both compassionate and consistent.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when a child I cared for received his report card with all A’s and earned an academic award. I was the first person he wanted to share the news with, which meant so much to me. Being one of the few people he chose to attend his award ceremony was incredibly meaningful and reminded me how important trust, encouragement, and support are in a child’s growth.
