One of my kiddos I cared for for years went through the stage of asking “Why?” about everything. This was the most “Why?” I have encountered in my life though. I mean at least 200 times a day. No matter the answer you gave him, his inquisitive mind would return the same question...”WHY?” One day he asked me why about something and after 3 different answers I gave him - it still wasn’t sufficient and he once again looked at me and asked “Why?” I was stumped. I didn’t have anymore answers. And so I looked at him and said, “I don’t know, Aiden, Why?” Almost immediately, I could tell by his expression he was taken aback and instantly began pondering the “Why?” himself. It was actually super adorable and his mom and me still like to joke about it. He’s older now but extremely extremely smart... and I bet it’s because he never stopped asking “Why?”.
