For 3 1/2 years I have been an Infant Master Lead teacher in an Outdoor preschool in Santa Barbara. The youngest I've had in my classroom is 2 months old! I have an Early Childhood Education degree and am CPR/first aid certified. Babies are one of my passions and I love to nurture the children I care for. I have been a nanny on 3 different occasions. The first job was with a 10-year-old autistic boy and his younger sister. I did light housekeeping, made meals, drove them to appointments, did recreational activities with them and helped them with homework. The second job was with a 10-year-old autistic boy. I also did light housekeeping, made meals, provided transportation to his appointments and helped him with his homework. The third nanny job was with a 3-month-old baby girl. I traveled in the USA with the mom when she had to attend meetings. When home we would go on many walks. I also have 11 years of experience working with special needs children at a public elementary school. I love animals, I have 2 dogs, going on walks, hiking in the hills, birding, gardening, reading and baking! I have a vast array of life experience that I feel enriches my ability to share the world with the children I care for. I am very adaptable to the learning needs of children, my son started reading before he was three years old! I feel that stability is so important in a child's life, so if a long term commitment is needed, I am willing to make one. In June of 2016 moved to Ventura and would love to work locally. I look forward to hearing from you and learning more about this position. Thank you. Pat

Gosh where do I start... I have worked and been around kids my whole life. I currently work for Ojai Unified School District in Special Education. I work with kids of all ages specializing with autism. I write individual lesson plans and work daily with life skills. I have previously worked as a nanny for a wonderful family with four children aging from 3-11. I grocery shopped and prepared all means for the children. Drove the children to and from school and sports. Helped with homework and academics. Most importantly, provided the children with endless amounts of care and love, filled with countless park days and frequent visits to local libraries. Always taking advantage of what our local communities has to offer. Before becoming a Nanny, I was a lead two year old teacher at xx Preschool in Ventura.

I have recently worked part time at a preschool working with children ages 2-5 as an aide. I have also babysat many children throughout the years which include newborns to 13 year olds. Past nanny experiences include taking care of a 2 1/2 year old girl who I watched once a week and also went on vacations with the family. Twice a week I watched a 1 year old baby girl and her twin siblings that are 6 years old(boy and girl). And every other saturday I occasionally watched a 4 year old boy. I also was a nanny to siblings that were 2 and 4 years old, a 1 month baby girl who lived on a military base,as well as a 6 year old boy with autism.

I have babysat a few different children in my teenage years while the parents are on a date or if they are out working late, but there is one family that I have continuously worked for. They have a 2 &1/2 year old and now a 4 month old. I usually watch the two girls while their father is at work and their mother is out running errands, but I also accompany them on trips out of town. Now that I am living in Ventura to get my teaching credential it is a little bit harder to help them out since they live a couple hours away.
