More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have several years of nannying experience caring for children of various ages, supporting both their daily routines and development. I currently use my Bachelor’s degree in Music to teach elementary students in an after-school setting, where I guide groups of children through structured, engaging lessons. Together, these experiences have strengthened my ability to provide attentive care while fostering creativity, learning, and independence.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
With infants, I love creating sensory-rich experiences through music, art, and hands-on exploration like sensory bins. I also enjoy teaching basic sign language to support early communication.
With toddlers, I draw from my Montessori background to create engaging activities that build independence and confidence. I prioritize outdoor time, as it’s especially regulating during this stage when children are learning to navigate all the emotions the human experience has to offer.
For elementary-aged children, I enjoy fostering creativity through imaginative play, art, and educational activities. As a teacher, I love supporting their growth across subjects and making learning both fun and meaningful.
With older children, I enjoy supporting their interests. Whether that’s driving them to activities, encouraging their talents, or simply connecting over what they love.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing environment where children feel seen, supported, and confident exploring the world around them.
My experience with special needs children...
While I don’t have extensive professional experience working one-on-one with special needs children, I have had meaningful exposure in both personal and classroom settings. A child in my family has Down syndrome, and in a Montessori classroom I supported, I worked alongside a child on the autism spectrum.
These experiences helped me develop patience, adaptability, and a deeper understanding of meeting each child where they are. I’m committed to creating a supportive, respectful environment for every child and am always open to learning and following the guidance of parents to best meet their child’s unique needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite experiences has been caring for two infants at different times and watching them grow from little gummy babies into curious, expressive toddlers. I especially loved teaching them sign language and seeing the moment it “clicked” as they began to communicate their needs. It was incredibly rewarding to watch their personalities emerge and to support them as they explored and began to understand the world around them.

Hi! I'm Kyla!
I am just moving back to Ventura after living in Chicago for 5 years. I grew up here so I am happy to be returning home. I've had the most wonderful experience for the last three years working at an early childhood center with ages 15 months-4 years. I've spent many years supporting young children's development and believe the best learning happens through play, creativity, and connection. I love turning everyday moments into opportunities for growth, whether it's a dance party, reading books, or a hands on activity. I bring patience, warmth, and silliness to every day. I'm CPR and First Aid Certified, calm under pressure, and committed to building strong relationships with both kids and their families. I'm excited to return to the more personal and flexible world of nannying where I can offer individualized care to your kid or kiddos.
