More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I also have valuable experience through my volunteer work in childcare settings. I currently volunteer in Church, where I supervise and care for children during Sunday services, ensuring a safe, positive, and engaging environment. I help plan group activities, assist with transitions, and work closely with staff and other volunteers to support families and maintain an organized childcare space.
Additionally, I volunteered at Hope for Kids Learning Center in Santa Barbara, where I supported teachers in early childhood classrooms. In this role, I assisted with daily learning activities such as crafts, story time, and outdoor play, while helping create a safe and encouraging environment. I also focused on building strong connections with children through one-on-one interaction, supporting their social and emotional development.
These experiences have strengthened my ability to work with children of different ages, adapt to group settings, and create a nurturing, structured environment.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love creating fun, engaging days for the children I care for, with a strong focus on both creativity and outdoor play. I enjoy planning arts and crafts activities that encourage imagination and self-expression, from simple projects to more hands-on, themed creations. I always try to bring new ideas to keep things exciting and developmentally enriching.
I also prioritize getting kids outside and active, whether that’s going on walks, spending time at the park, or playing games that encourage movement and exploration. I believe outdoor time is so important for both physical and mental well-being.
My goal is to create a balanced routine that includes creativity, play, and fresh air, helping children learn, grow, and have fun in a safe and supportive environment.

The most important part about being a nanny...
At the heart of being a nanny, I believe the most important role is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children feel comfortable, secure, and truly cared for. When children feel safe, they are able to grow, explore, and express themselves with confidence, and I take that responsibility very seriously in every family I work with.
Equally important to me is building a strong, trusting relationship with parents. I value open communication, reliability, and honesty, and I see myself as a team with the family working together to provide consistency, support, and the best possible care for their children.

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Ventura, CA: Kyla Z.
Hi! I'm Kyla!
I am just moving back to Ventura after living in Chicago for 5 years. I grew up here so I am happy to be returning home. I've had the most wonderful experience for the last three years working at an early childhood center with ages 15 months-4 years. I've spent many years supporting young children's development and believe the best learning happens through play, creativity, and connection. I love turning everyday moments into opportunities for growth, whether it's a dance party, reading books, or a hands on activity. I bring patience, warmth, and silliness to every day. I'm CPR and First Aid Certified, calm under pressure, and committed to building strong relationships with both kids and their families. I'm excited to return to the more personal and flexible world of nannying where I can offer individualized care to your kid or kiddos.

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Ventura, CA: Bree K.
I’m a big sister of three and the oldest daughter, granddaughter, cousin in the family and I feel like that has definitely shaped me to be who I am today. I have always loved feeling helpful towards families, moms, and kids. Since high school I have babysat or nannied for families, even including for the teachers at my school. I am not super serious and love a little chaos, which would maybe explain why I enjoy being around kids. I have a high tolerance for silliness and jokes but also feel like I can be reasonable enough to help kids understand the balance between that and responsibilities. I’m also a great negotiator lol. A good day for me looks a cleaned house, a pretty sunset, and a yummy homemade meal. I enjoy the little things like sunsets and spending time with family and pets, I’d say overall just a very simple person. I have taken child development classes as well as cpr certified. Clean driving record and reliable transportation. :)
