More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a cna (certified nursing aide) and a pcs (personal care aide) but I much rather work with the younger generations. I worked at my local high school in a classroom for four years and the school aftercare for three. During that time I gave babysit and house sit. I have worked with children 6 weeks to about 9/10 give or take and I sporadically take care of a 20 year old with Down syndrome.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy being in nature and doing crafts. Get dirty is my favorite thing if that’s playing in the rain or dancing in mud I think it builds so much creativity inside them and the ability to explore. I do arts and crafts to capture them those can be science or cooking to things with paper and paint but I try to have one thing planned a day to help children get out of their concert zone. I don’t like the idea of children sitting all day on electronics so I try my best to prevent it if they are allowed to have them it’s usually in very limited moderation because if all the things we are going. But I do enjoy a good living room tent and movie day in the winter.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Letting the child be a child and getting dirty is okay Climbing on things is jay as long as we go it safety. Overall letting them be a child it can be cleaned it let’s have fun before we have to do so.
My experience with special needs children...
I have felt with children with special needs I try to keep the same mentality they are children and they are the same as everyone else they have different needs but are still kids and want to have fun and get dirty but sometimes that can be overstimulating and to take a minute and maybe revisit it in a different way and see how they would like to handle the situation. I give them the same options as I would a child without unique needs I base it on each child but I try to keep it very the same and treat them like children not for the diagnosis.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When I had kids who I was with for about a year talk to their mom about a snow globe I got with them and how much they missed me and talked about all the fun memories. Also when those children see me and they remember Ramon things they did it shows how I made a difference in their life and that’s all I’m here to do is make a positive difference.
