The most important part about being a nanny...
Providing compassionate care and communication with kids and their families. Knowing you can trust your kids to be loved and encouraged in a way you’d do yourself is the most important part! It takes a village!! Of course remembering that the first 3 years are where the brain is molded the most and how important all the developmental stages are at that time! Documenting all milestones is a huge part!!
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for children with developmental disabilities such as autism and chronic anxiety.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment, gosh so many to choose from! Every day I work at the center with the kids (age 1-1.5) I see or hear something amazing/silly. I think seeing our class get so giddy and excited about meeting our class Guinea pigs was the sweetest thing! They exclaimed “piggies!!” excitedly, and watched them run around the cage, pointing out their beds, water bottles, and cages. I also love watching the kids at our center learn through each other;mimicking and making faces to convey emotions. So sweet!
