A little bit about me

I hold a BA in developmental psychology and I'm currently pursuing my Masters degree. I have over a decade of experience working with kids of all ages. Aside from nannying, I have organized and ran day camps for kids, tutored, taught preschool, and worked at the middle school level running social-emotional, STEM, and extracurricular activities. I love working with kids and my goal is always to provide a safe and nurturing environment for them to learn and grow. I am anti-screens and I believe connection always comes first. I closely align with the work of Dan Siegel (Whole Brain Child) and Becky Kennedy (Good Inside) when it comes to parenting philosophies. I am hoping to find a family to work with long-term and I’d love to become a part of a family and community long term where we can really build trust and connection. Please feel free to reach out! I am available for interview via Zoom, Google Meets, or in-person. I look forward to meeting you!

The most important part about being a nanny...

This work MATTERS. The childhood years, especially early childhood, are so crucial for healthy brain development. You never know what a kid will hold on to as they get older or what influence your decisions will have, but the most important thing is making sure they know that they are safe and loved. I truly believe that this is how we create a better, kinder world and it’s an honor to be able to help families do that work.

My experience with special needs children...

I have nannied for two boys on the Autism Spectrum and well as worked as an ABA therapist for a short time. I also have experience with children who have experienced developmental trauma and kids diagnosed with learning challenges such as ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and auditory processing disorder.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was nannying for two girls and the eldest (8 at the time) had the best sense of humor/personality. She was a riot. We were about to drive over a speed bump, so I jokingly said, “put your hands in the air!” As if it were a roller coaster. She deadpanned and said, “you don’t get out much, do you?”
I’m still laughing about it. She’s not wrong.
