Hi! My name is Allison and I recently graduated from the University of Arkansas. I’ve moved back to Kansas City for a job at the Plaza, where I work from 8 AM to 4 PM. I’m looking to connect with a family in the area to be a nanny in the evenings or to help out as a date night sitter. For many years, I had the opportunity of working with children aged 3 to 14, handling responsibilities such as school pickups, meal preparation, homework assistance, and organizing activities with parents/other kids. Additionally, I have experience volunteering at my church’s daycare, where I supervised infants during mealtime and naptime routines.

My goal is to create a fun and engaging experience for the children so I’m open to any activities that interest them! Some of my favorites include playing games, arts and crafts, going for walks, reading books, and going to the pool/swimming.

My experience includes taking a class called ‘Peers in Learning,’ where I had the opportunity to interact with and learn from children with various needs. During this class, I played games with them, attended classes, shared meals, and simply spent time together. This experience taught me the importance of patience, compassion, and understanding when working with children who have diverse needs.
